Kit of the Day
Wow am I feeling blah today. Not sure why, just really feel like I'm dragging and I have no ambition to do anything. What I need is to go digi shopping and first on my list will be Laughter and the coordinating Element Pack from Laurie Barnhurst. These cheerful colors and whimsical patterns are just the ticket for an ailing soul. With so many kids in my family I can have a ball making layouts that are not "kiddie" looking, but still have a child-like appeal. Loving the big gigantic flower...you know how I am about that. I like the distressed frame too.
Layout of the Day
The love behind a boy and his dog is something I'll never truly understand. This is mostly due to being a girl, but I have also never owned a dog. I see my nephews and their dogs and I know that this bond is true and beautiful, though and I really enjoyed seeing it celebrated in True Companion by lbfpebbles. This is such a gorgeous picture and it was a great idea to use that as the focal point while still including the smaller snapshot of beautiful Indigo with the two children on the steps. The subtlety of the overall color scheme is wonderful as a counterpoint to the splashes of red. The ribbon matches so nicely with the red in the children's coats. Wonderfully done. Beautiful dog too!
I love the colorfulness of Laura's paper pack. It just looks happy!!
