Kit of the Day
I am not into sewing. It involves things like measuring and straight lines. Just sounds like too much work to me, LOL. What I do like is sewing on my computer and Lie Fhung must know that because she created Syrin Seamstress . This sewing inspired kit is filled with rich fabric-like patterns that immediately draw the eye and spark creativity. There is so much stitching in this kit, of course, and stitching is often that perfect final touch in a layout. I love the torn fabric effects..that is really hard to do well no matter what approach you take and she has done an awesome job. The colors can go either to the feminine or the masculine thanks to the addition of the blue tones. My favorite little element in this one? The stitched flower...just adorable.
Layout of the Day
Today's layout pick is not a layout at all, it's a digital printable project and I love it. Sarah Barber created her Daddy's Angels paper bag album using digital papers and it looks great! This is a great reminder that digital can go in to the real world and you can do bi-scraptual projects that look really great. Here Sarah has combined digital backgrounds with "real" embellishments and it looks awesome!!! I'm going to be doing some altering projects while I'm away at Memories Expo this weekend and I'm printing out a bunch of my favorite backgrounds on a variety of mediums to use in those projects. So give it a try! You might surprise yourself.
Charity Kit Alert!
Erika Tenney has created a beautiful kit in honor of her dad who passed away 10 years ago. The proceeds from For My Father will be going to benefit the National Pain Organization, which is a resource for people living with chronic pain. The kit is great for Father's Day projects with great masculine colors and plenty of elements to play with.

wow these kits are geourgous, thanks for showing them to us..will have to try and save my pennies:-))Hugz from sunny brissy..
